Last month, AHEPA National President Ike Gulas visited St. Basil Academy and met with Father Costas Sitaras, Executive Director of the Academy. After their lunch meeting, President Gulas and James A. Poll, Chairman of the AHEPA St. Basil Academy Committee, toured St. Basil and its facilities, many of which, bear AHEPA’s name.

“We have been supporters of St. Basil Academy since it was founded in 1944,” said President Gulas. “In 1982, AHEPA raised $1 million to build a dormitory for boys. Today, it is in need of repairs and we wanted to help the house for boys that we built 25-years ago,” added Gulas. 

In a letter AHEPA Headquarters received from Father Sitaras, he thanked AHEPA for “its tremendous source of support and its commitment to the life-saving mission that expands decades.”
