AHEPA at the Forefront of American Hellenic Issues
 Ambassador Mallias WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ike Gulas, Supreme President of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), the leading association for the nation’s 1.4 million American citizens of Greek ancestry, and Philhellenes, discussed issues of high concern today with Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, Alexandros P. Mallias.
Several issues were discussed, mainly the current crisis in the Balkans, centered around Kosovo’s succession from Serbia. The Ambassador assured the Supreme President that Greece's position remains unchanged with regards to this situation. In addition, they discussed the issue of Greece and FYROM, as important deadlines are fast approaching regarding latter’s inclusion into NATO. Finally, the upcoming 38th Biennial Banquet in Washington, DC on March 7, and the 86th AHEPA Annual Convention in Athens, Greece were discussed in great detail.
