Many Greek American organizations were also in attendance. President Bush issued the traditional Greek American Proclamation noting the years of joint cooperation between Greece and the United States. After a brief concert which highlighted the New York Metropolitan Church chorus, the President of the United States, George W. Bush, invited the guests to a reception in the West Dining Room.

The Supreme President began the events Monday night with a dedication at the State house of Maryland in Annapolis, where Brother Steve Mavronis together with members of the district 3 brothers coordinated and hosted a kick off event. The Supreme President represented the AHEPA and spoke about the value of the relationship we share with Greece. In preparation of the 2008 AHEPA Supreme Convention in Athens, comments revolved around the convention and the strong bond we share with Greece.
