Supreme President: Work of Hellenic American Community Across U.S. to be Applauded
In New York, Supreme President Ike Gulas attended the annual meeting of the Cyprus Federation of America Saturday.
“I expressed our unwavering support to our friends at the Cyprus Federation,” said Gulas. “We will continue to work toward a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem. We can, and must, do more.”
On Sunday, Gulas marched in the Greek Independence Day Parade.
“I applaud the parade’s organizing committee for another stellar event that showcased the pride of Hellenism on such a grand stage; Fifth Avenue,” said Gulas, who was interviewed by UPN 9, the local TV network covering the parade. “It was an honor and a thrill to be a part of both of these important events in New York,” he added.
Also, Supreme President Gulas commended the Greek American communities of Detroit, Boston, and Baltimore for recently holding successful Greek Independence Day parades.
“On behalf of AHEPA, I wish to express my gratitude to all these communities for their uplifting display of hard work and dedication that superbly displays our Hellenic culture and history,” he said.
