Athletics

An important component of the mission of AHEPA is "family and individual excellence."  This ideal is exemplified in athletic competition which is why AHEPA offers a premier Athletic Program to the Greek American community.

The National Athletic Department, headed by Dr. Monthe N. Kofos for 35 years, organizes a wide range regional and national sporting events, including:

 

One of the greatest accomplishments of the National Athletic Department is the establishment of the AHEPA Hellenic Hall of Fame.  The Hall of Fame encompasses players, coaches, and sports personalities as far back as the early 20th century.

 

Moreover, the National Athletic Department administers its Awards Program which honors amateur and professional athletes for excellence in his/her sport.  Student-athletes are also spotlighted.
