SONS OF PERICLES, PYTHAGORAS CHAPTER #9

Current Status: The Chapter is temporarily deactivated.  It is planned for reactivation as soon as a minimum number of members or potential members express an interest. 

History

The Order of Sons of Pericles is the junior Auxiliary organization of the Order of AHEPA represented in Washington D.C. by Pythagoras Chapter #9. Consistent with the goals of the national Order, Pythagoras Chapter #9 is involved in the teaching and training of its members to become active and responsible citizens of their community. The chapter’s objectives among others are:  

• Teaching the fundamental purposes of organized society, 

• Providing a healthy environment where bonds of friendship may be created among the members,  

• Developing in its members a high sense of justice, fidelity and sportsmanship,  

• Endowing them with high ideals and patriotic virtues as young Americans of Hellenic ancestry, and  

• Encouraging the pursuit of excellence as a primary objective for each young member.

Information  

The Chapter meets once each month, simultaneously with the Maids of Athena. If you would like more information about the activities and schedule of events, or an application for membership, please contact one of the Officers listed above, or the Chapter advisor.
