A Message from the Supreme President

Supreme President Ike Gulas

Brothers, Sisters and Friends:

Last week, AHEPA played a crucial role working to remove an ill-advised "political hold" by our executive branch on Greece's path to become a visa waiver nation, and to jump-start negotiations between the two longtime NATO allies. Greece's inclusion in the United States' Visa Waiver Program would greatly impact the American Hellenic community for the better, strengthening social, cultural, and educational ties; and fostering increased commerce and tourism for the United States. I want to thank all of you who took a moment to write to President Bush on this important issue. I would also like to thank Grand President Barbara Stavis Wolf, and the Daughters of Penelope, for joining in this effort. If you have not participated, there is still time to have your voice heard. Please reference our Action Alert for details. Any success we realize is incumbent upon the support of the American Hellenic community.
