AHEPA Celebrates March 25th Greek Independence Day 2008
Dear Brothers:
March 25th was celebrated today in Washington, DC at the White House. Supreme President Ike Gulas led the AHEPA delegation to the White House. Joining the Supreme President was Supreme Vice President Nick Karacostas, Chairman of the AHEPA Trustees Tom Owens, Grand President of the Daughters Karen Stamatiades, Sons of Pericles Supreme President Rick Pecka, and Grand President of the Maids of Athena Stephanie Maniatis.

President Bush and His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios
Many Greek American organizations were also in attendance. President Bush issued the traditional Greek American Proclamation noting the years of joint cooperation between Greece and the United States. After a brief concert which highlighted the New York Metropolitan Church chorus, the President of the United States, George W. Bush, invited the guests to a reception in the West Dining Room.
